Children Should Not Be Allowed to Use Gadgets.

Technology has greatly changed our daily life. There are various electronic devices on the market, one of which is a gadget. The gadget gifts it gives make our lives more enjoyable and comfortable, one or the other always has an electronic device to pass the time. Gadgets help us in many ways in life. However, if any of us are using it for longer than we should, it means that we are addicted to this technology. Gadget addiction has become one of the most common problems of the current generation. Children are not the only ones affected. Even adults are addicted to this device, one has to stay online so as not to miss anything interesting. Be it games, the latest and hottest gossip, they always want to know what's new. Because of this, they check the devices regularly. The distractions smartphone technology create for parents is placing their children’s physical, mental, and social wellbeing at an increased risk of harm.

Overplaying with gadgets can impairs the intellectual development of unskilled children. A child's mind doesn't develop as much when he or she is addicted to the latest gadgets. It affects a child's thought process. The mind cannot think comprehensively. In addition, the use of power tools for a long time can cause a decrease in physical strength. The ability to see clearly loses sharpness over time. Children can develop diseases such as obesity. Just like children lose focus from schoolwork. Children prefer to be on the move rather than converse with others, so they cannot significantly improve their communication skills. Additionally, children can lose social skills and stay away from social activities all the time. As such, homesickness is an important issue that should be resolved in order to improve the overall growth of children.

Gadgets also can interfere with classroom learning where teachers are teaching in front of children. Children tend to be distracted by all the entertainment applications on their gadgets, such as music players, movies, games, chatting. For example, while the teacher is explaining something important about the subject, the children in the back are busy watching and listening to music on their gadgets. When the teacher asks a question, the children silently ignore the teacher's question. Because the music is still playing in their head. This is really a waste of time in the school learning process, and the lack of concentration in class will eventually result in children failing to pass their exams. By keeping gadgets at school, children are neglecting their participation in class and extracurricular activities. Other children are busy participating in school activities, so children with gadgets avoid participating in activities with other children because they are busy chatting their friends on the phone. If they are still sending messages, while one asks the question and the other responds, it doesn't stop until the other does. They were unable to participate in any school activities because of their chatting addiction. They neglect academic knowledge for their careers, which directly affects their future.

On the other hand, mobile phones can also be used for good things, such as taking pictures of the diagrams the teacher is drawing and recording audio being explained by the teacher. At home, children can refresh and remember relevant topics. Cellphones are equipped with cameras and recording media applications, but children need to know how to make the most of these media applications without disrupting the learning process in class. By applying this modern learning method, apart from listening to music or watching movies, children can watch and listen on their mobile phones, so children don't get bored when repeating important lesson points at home. Mobile phones can be used to make calls in "emergency" situations. It could save someone's life if the call is made quickly. Or, if there is a fire at school, children can use it to call the fire department to put out the fire. Of course, in some situations, children must not make the wrong phone call to prevent confusion at school. When this happened, the children were grounded, and the school feared that an ambulance or fire department would come to the school, but nothing happened.

It is an irrefutable fact that electronic devices really help make human life easier and more convenient. However, children have various shortcomings such as physical and mental weakness such as the mind cannot think comprehensively and Children can develop diseases such as obesity. Lack of social skills and communication skills. But using gadgets has a positive side as well, it helps us find useful things, learn more, help others in need, and have great moments. Therefore, toddlers can use gadgets but must be accompanied by a parent and limit their play time to keep track of time.
